Welcome to the Lansdale Life Church podcast.
If you're seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, this podcast is for you.
Thank you for joining us today.
So I brought in my car, which I forgot, a jar of mustard seeds.
I was going to hold one up and pass it around to let you see how small the mustard seed is.
It takes three to four months to grow to fruition,
and it grows six feet high, 914 times the size of the seed.
For width, 20 feet wide, 3,000 times the width of the seed.
In volume, 12.7 billion times the size of the seed.
To what does Jesus compare the mustard seed?
Mark 4, 30 to 32.
Again, he said, what shall we say the kingdom of God is like?
Or what parable shall we use to describe it?
It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth.
Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants,
with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.
12.5 billion times the size, and we get to plant as many as we want.
Can you imagine if you planted one every day and told someone about the kingdom of God?
It's so exciting.
It's like we have the cure-all drink.
Just met Arnold.
This is supposed to be really amazing.
Cure you of everything.
It doesn't look good.
But man, it tastes good.
It's like we have a drink, guys, that when you're at the gym or wherever you're at,
you're saying to people,
yo, you just got to drink this.
Except it's not a drink.
It's a person.
It's Jesus, right?
And we know what it's going to do for you.
We know what it's going to do for them.
Think about this.
When a person puts their faith in Christ,
all their sin, past, present, and future, is wiped out.
Acts 3, 19, repent then and turn to God,
so that your sins may be wiped out.
Amazing verse.
He makes us alive in Christ when we're dead spiritually.
Ephesians 2, 4, and 5.
But because of his great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ,
even when we were dead in our transgressions and sins,
for as by grace you've been saved.
You can never earn it, by the way.
It's a gift.
Number three, he makes us a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5, 17, behold,
if anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation.
The old has passed.
The new has come.
New desires, right?
Woke up one day.
Why do I want to read the Word of God so much?
Why do I not want to go out with these guys and party?
He becomes our father, instead of our judge.
John 1, 12, yet to all who believed in him,
to all who received him,
he gave the right to become children of God.
Gives us a new spirit, a new heart, a new peace.
Just drink the drink,
but they don't drink it a lot of times, right?
Some say no.
Some say yes.
Some smack it out of your hand.
It's really good.
But that's not surprising, right?
Because think about the Word of God again.
1 Corinthians 1, 18,
for the message of the cross is foolishness
to those who are perishing.
But to those who are being saved,
it's the power of God.
That's what you have in your hands.
The power of God.
Some people are so steeped in their sin
or have spiritual oppression or possession.
That you smell like death.
2 Corinthians 2, 16,
to one we are the aroma that brings death.
To the other, the aroma that brings life.
Wow.
That's crazy, isn't it?
Their spirit knows who you are, right?
And there's a spiritual battle going on.
So we pray, Lord, give this person an open heart
to receive what I'm going to say.
It's not me.
I have nothing to offer,
but you can open their heart.
John 7, 37 to 39,
Jesus says, let anyone who is thirsty
come to me and drink.
Whoever believes in me,
as the scripture has said,
rivers of living water
will flow from within him.
John 4, 4.
But whoever drinks the water I give him
will become in them
a spring welling up to eternal life.
You've got it.
Not in your hand, in your heart.
You've got it.
You've got the mustard seed,
the kingdom of heaven.
And you don't have to bring him to Christ.
You just got to plan it.
You just got to tell him.
When I was in college, oof, 1984,
I came to know the Lord.
I sat down with the first guy to share.
Bill Ballingau.
He said, nah, it's not for me.
I'm going to try to get through today
without being emotional.
I got a text from somebody other day.
He became a missionary.
Became a missionary.
Another guy, Steve Parator,
calling the crow.
He had this black hair
and flipped it back like a crow feather.
Made fun of me.
If anybody came to know the Lord
or went to a Bible,
it was Father Foti follower.
I'm not a priest.
He rode me, man, this guy.
Talked to him about a year ago.
Loves Jesus.
Came to be born again.
You just plant the seed.
It's not about leading people to Christ.
Okay.
But you already know that
because you guys are here.
I'm speaking to the choir, see?
You guys chose to come out today.
That's God.
If you don't know the Lord,
somebody brung out, that's God.
Okay.
Only 5% of professing believers
share the faith regularly.
2% have a plan presentation on paper.
And if you're here today,
I know you want to be part of that 5%.
Or God has plans for you
to be part of that 5%, okay?
I know you want to see
men's lives changed before your eyes.
You want to be a fisher of men.
In my time in the Word of God this morning.
By the way,
before I forget,
seven years ago,
someone challenged me,
an older gentleman
who just went to heaven.
He might commit to reading through the Bible
every year.
I can send you a link.
Three chapters a day.
It changed my life dramatically.
I've been a believer over 40 years.
That move changed my life dramatically.
Do it.
I'll send you the link.
But it's more than being a fisher of men.
This morning it says,
I read in Jude,
Be merciful to those who doubt.
Snatch others from the fire
and save them.
To others show mercy mixed with fear.
Hating even clothing stained with cruffle.
You guys have the opportunity
to snatch people from the fire.
You see,
I went to my daughter's church in California,
an amazing church.
And it was like,
this was five years ago.
And California is a different animal, guys.
My wife and I sat into this session
of question and answers.
And they said,
I said,
listen, I'm the oldest guy here.
Everybody here is under 30.
I'm curious.
I don't hear about hell.
And they said,
well, we don't mention hell as hell
because these people are in a living hell right now.
You may not agree with that.
I didn't necessarily agree with that.
But what I'm saying is,
you only understand the great grace of God
when you understand hell.
What you're being saved from.
Okay.
But the church had a lot of great points.
And when they come to know the Lord,
they'd share more in the home session.
They didn't want to call it Bible study.
They have all these names,
but thousands of people get saved through this church.
It's amazing.
She's at a different church now.
So let's get started.
The first thing you guys need to know,
if you want to go 10X for Jesus,
if you were to go all in for Jesus,
is you got to understand
that God uses messed up losers.
And I mean losers.
I mean, if you're a murderer,
your resume gets pushed to the front of the line.
Okay.
Hang with me.
Mordecai Ham in the early 1900s
was born into a Christian family of pastors.
Grandfather, a pastor, father, a pastor.
They said, you're going to be a pastor.
I want nothing to do with this.
We're living in squalor, poverty.
No way, AJ.
I'm going to be a salesman,
which I believe is the most noble of all trades.
I happen to be a salesman.
I'm a property adjuster, right?
He becomes a salesman,
then he goes and becomes a lawyer,
goes to law school,
becomes a successful businessman.
And he's making a lot of money.
And then his father's dying.
Deathbed, I believe, situation.
Waits him up.
1937 Charlotte, North Carolina.
He's doing a tent meeting on evangelism
and in walked two 16 year old kids.
They're looking around.
They cannot find seats.
We're out of here.
The ushers.
Ushers.
Think about that.
Mustard seats.
They find those seats.
We got seats, guys.
They give their lives to Christ.
One of them is Billy Graham.
Goes on to preach in 185 countries,
418 crusades.
Two million people in person.
1.1 million people in South Korea at one time.
Two billion with radio and TV
and three million give their lives to Christ.
Did that guy plant a mustard seed?
It's not about the mustard.
It's not about Billy Graham.
It's not about the ushers.
When you look at the bio of Mordecai Ham, it's bad.
He is.
He ran from God.
Loved the money.
Hated Jewish leaders said,
you're the one causing Christianity.
It was called a racist.
God uses imperfect people.
You see.
The mustard seed grew.
When I was in college, 19, my amazing wife
takes me to a movie called The Prodigal about Billy Graham.
About a family's journey to coming to Christ.
Before we could have went to see the next movie, Hard Bodies.
The movie's over.
The young girl behind me, elbows her boyfriend,
almost breaks his ribs and I told you
he should have went to see Hard Bodies.
I'm looking at the screen, mesmerized,
wondering how I can escape hell.
Because I'm a sinner in need of a savior.
Why?
Why did I feel that way and they felt nothing?
The Holy Spirit, right?
On the way out, somebody gave me a little track.
I prayed to receive Christ in my car with my wife.
All her friends were praying.
I had Eastern College and I came to Christ.
The first person I called, raise your hand, Jim.
Raise your hand, my buddy.
He was a believer in high school.
Thought he was just a nerd.
Football star, clean lever, didn't party.
First person I called, I knew who to call.
Thanks for planting a seed.
Let's continue with some losers, right?
Let's continue.
Let me put this cure all drink down.
Abraham lied to his wife, lied about his wife,
said a king wouldn't kill him.
All right?
Father of all nations, right?
Rahab was a prostitute before she helped Israel.
Peter said, I don't know the man.
I don't know Jesus.
Yes, you're part of him.
I'm not part of anything with that.
I don't know him three times.
He was a believer in Jesus, spent time with Jesus, right?
And he still denied him.
God used him to change the world.
God uses imperfect people.
Moses was a murderer.
Did you know that?
Got in a fight with an Egyptian guard
who was beaten a slave, killed him, buried him in the sand.
Moses led the nation of Israel out of captivity.
Was he imperfect?
God said, I want you to do that.
I'm not a good speaker.
Please send someone with me.
Aaron, right?
I'm not eloquent.
I'm not this.
I'm not that.
God uses imperfect people.
David, King David, was a murderer and adulterer.
Beth Sheble on the top of her roof,
taking a bath or shower, whatever.
He covets her.
He has sex with her.
She gets pregnant.
He can't blame it on Uriah the husband
because he's out at war.
So David sends him to the front lines and he's dead.
David hides his sin for months.
I think it's Psalm 37.
My bones wasted away when I did not admit my sin.
I have no peace, no peace at all.
Finally, he comes to know the Lord,
or he says to the Lord, I'm sorry for my sin.
After he says it, after he says it,
after he says it, God says this is a man after my own heart.
Does God forgive?
Does God use imperfect people?
Okay.
Check this out.
Hold it.
I'm going to give you another one.
You never heard of this one, I bet.
Unless you really dive into the word.
I hope you did.
King Manasseh in 2 Kings chapter 21
is said to have, quote,
done evil in the eyes of the Lord.
What it was his evil, he erected altars to bail.
He bowed down to the starry hosts and worshiped them.
He sacrificed his son in the fire.
Practiced sorcery and divination
and consulted mediums and spiritists.
He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord,
provoking him to anger.
Guys, it's one thing to kill an Egyptian.
You're defending it,
bury him in the sand in my mind.
You know, I couldn't forgive this guy.
But God's not me.
See, thank God's God.
Amazingly, in 2 Chronicles 33, 12 to 13,
it says, in his distress, King Manasseh,
he sought the favor of the Lord his God
and humbled himself greatly
before the God of his fathers.
And he prayed to him.
The Lord was moved by his entreaty
and listened to his plea.
So he brought him back to Jerusalem
and to his kingdom.
Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.
What have you done?
Are you believing the lie that God can't forgive you?
And it's a lie from Satan.
Are you imperfect and messed up?
Are you lose the effect?
You qualify.
You see, the Apostle Paul
ordered the death of Stephen Stoning.
He ordered countless in prison and to death.
Right?
Oh, but you say,
oh, yeah, but he didn't know Jesus then.
He wasn't saved then.
Well, after he's saved,
he says, why do I do the things I don't want to do?
Why do I don't do the things I want to do?
Oh, wretched sinner, am I?
I am the chief of all sinners.
That's what qualifies you to be used by God.
You have to admit and humble yourself
that you are a worthless human being
and God lifts you up.
Why does he do this?
Because he wants to take away your pride.
He wants to elevate his grace
and he wants to give you hope.
He'll forgive any sin.
Check this out.
1 Corinthians 1, 27.
God chose the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise.
God chose the weak things of the world
to shame the strong.
The foolish things of the world.
Looking at you guys,
God's gonna have a great day today.
Some of you guys.
Acts 4, 13.
Now, when they saw the boldness of Peter and John
and perceiving that they were unschooled ordinary men,
they were astonished
and they took note that those men
had been with Jesus.
Have you been with Jesus?
Let me show you how to be with Jesus.
When you're with Jesus,
he transforms your life.
Make no mistake about it though.
1 John 1, 9 says,
we are to be holy to strive for holiness.
Be holy because I am holy.
But 1 John 1, 9 says,
if we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and purify us of all unrighteousness.
Here's the whole summation of the first part.
You have to believe God's grace.
When you pray and confess your sins,
you are perfect.
You are forgiven and the day begins.
When you then go out and talk about Jesus,
you're believing that verse.
You're washed.
You're perfect.
And God, the great physician,
likes to use a clean syringe, right?
But I got news for you.
We strive to be clean.
Only when you get to heaven will you be clean.
There's people here today that have changed my life
and I'll tell you how imperfect they were
because God uses imperfect people.
So you don't want to believe the lie of Satan.
He's the accuser of the brethren,
not the accuser, the accuser of the believer,
the accuser of the brethren.
He will tell you, look what you did.
I saw what no one else saw.
You viewed that sight.
You did this.
You did that.
But when you understand the power of God's grace
and you claim 1 John 1, 9
and you confess and are purified, he leaves.
It's not true what he says.
Don't believe it.
When you take a step out
and you start to tell people about Jesus,
it shows that you believe the word of God.
Your faith when you take the step
shows you believe the word of God
and he will use you.
Now, most people, in my opinion,
need something else to happen.
Yes, you have to understand God uses imperfect losers
and you qualify.
But most people have to have, in my opinion,
a near fatal car crash,
a terminal disease or diagnosis
or the death of a loved one.
Called a wake up call to show you
the brevity of life,
the temporary nature of life.
By the way, you know how many people
are going to die today around the world?
170,000.
We'll get to that in a minute.
I had an experience in 2010,
August 12th, about 12 noon
in a Shop Right parking lot in Sewell, New Jersey.
I found myself trapped,
locked in a white cargo van.
I'd love to tell you I was abducted by terrorists
who were giving my wife the ransom note,
but the truth is,
I locked myself inside my own van.
See, I had a gumball route
in the shopping center
and I went to get a box of gumballs
and the wind blew the door shut behind me.
There is a child protective cage
between the front cab and the back
and child protective locks.
How embarrassing.
I couldn't call the manager inside
because, hey, I locked myself in my van.
You locked yourself out of your van?
No, in the van.
It was 98 degrees,
about 120 in there.
I was a trap dog.
I didn't have long.
It was bad.
I did the next best thing.
I pounded on the window
for someone to let me out.
An older lady ran.
Probably didn't help.
I think I had a white t-shirt on
in a white cargo van,
like a person transporting to a facility.
She thought I was going to eat her liver
with a bottle of Chianti and some fava beans.
That's the 1980 reference to
Silence of the Lambs.
He had a white t-shirt.
Okay, it's a young guy.
Fortunately, a more common sense
30-ish year old woman,
let me out of my own van.
As I sat there gasping in that fresh air,
the only thing more profound than that
is I was a loser.
Not because I trapped myself in a van
or had a vending route.
There's actually no stress to that.
I scooped out a lot of quarters.
I settled in life.
I embraced mediocrity.
I ignored my wife who said,
you could do much more than this,
whether it's in my occupation
or telling people about Jesus.
But the question now is,
what van are you locked in right now?
With my own cause, I lock myself.
What decisions have you made
that locked yourself in your van?
Is it pornography?
Drugs? Alcohol?
You have an anger problem?
By the way,
the person who discipled me
after I got saved
was a guy named Tom Miller.
Tom, raise your hand real quick.
When I got saved on the campus
at Rider University,
well, I got saved at the movie,
but he shared some things with me
at Rider campus
and he clarified the gospel.
And after I understood,
he said, now, Mike,
I need to come to this campus
every week for the next year
to keep you from making
the same mistakes
most new Christians make.
I don't know what that meant.
I said, what's that gonna cost me?
He said, nothing.
Three weeks later,
our first session,
I'm like, Tom, I'm not saved.
What do you mean?
I went out with my friends
and I got drunk at the pub
and blah, blah, blah, blah.
He said, you seem pretty upset.
Like, I am.
Were you ever upset before?
They said, no.
He said, that's the Holy Spirit.
You see the word of God,
John 3 36 says,
he who has his son has life.
He does not have the son does not have life.
Doesn't say he who has a son and never sins.
I said, oh,
God gave his life to me,
but check this out.
Years later,
we're in a chick-fil-a shares with me.
Mike, I've had a decade struggle
with pornography.
I said, what?
Really?
God used you to change my life
so dramatically
and you had that struggle?
He said, yeah.
God has since set him free.
Sadly, 54% of Christians
view pornography regularly.
So maybe 22 of you should chat with him
if that's the case.
He's, by the way,
a prolific artist
who can take a pencil
and render an exact likeness
of a loved one
or a dead pet.
You wouldn't believe it.
So if you see 20 guys talking to him,
we don't know if you're talking
about a portrait
or about pornography.
I thought you'd laugh at that.
And God uses imperfect people.
I am the man I am today
because of that man.
So I'm sitting there
realizing I'm a loser
but something comes into my life.
Another thing, right?
It's called stream energy.
The network marketing thing, right?
2010.
I go to my friend.
She's a counselor.
Maybe she's a therapist.
And I say, Alice.
Alice D'Agostino.
Shady retreat road in Doylestown.
This next thing's got to work.
This stream thing's going to work.
She said, another thing, Mike?
See, she knew I was an entrepreneur,
a master of none.
What is it called?
Jack of all trades and a master of none, right?
Mediocre.
Never excelled, right?
I said, but this one's got to work.
Now she utters a sentence to me
that changed my life.
Changed my life.
I'm going to give it to you now for free.
You don't even have to go through this.
You can take this sentence
and it's going to change your life.
She says, Mike,
did you ever just get down on your knees
and ask God to bless your business?
I said, no.
Selfish.
That's not how it works.
She says, actually, it is.
It's biblical.
Second Chronicles 4.10,
a guy named Jabez says,
oh, that you would bless me indeed
and enlarge my territory,
that your hand would be with me
and that you would keep me from evil
so that I would not cause pain.
Oh, that you would bless me indeed a lot
and enlarge my territory,
my influence for you.
And then when it happens
that your hand would be with me
and I don't think it's me
and go out and cause a lot of pain
because I'm a conceited nut.
And so God granted his request.
So I go home.
I find my chair in the living room.
No one's around.
I kneel.
Tearful prayer felt like a failure.
I said, make me a better father,
better provider, better husband.
Didn't ask for money.
Three months and three weeks later,
1,053 people pay $300
to join my stream energy
network marketing business.
And I didn't know what I was doing.
All I knew is, like, they trained me.
Hey, John, I don't understand it all, bro,
but this is a visual thing you got to see.
It just come out and take a look.
I wish we don't invite people
to church that way, right?
If you can't witness,
there's a lot of stuff going on in this church.
This guy, Chris Bonner, is amazing.
God's using them.
Just come out.
I can't even explain it.
God made my wife and I number eight in the country.
The first annual convention,
we have a stream prayer warriors
meeting 16 people come.
One gets saved.
He's in heaven now.
The next year, we want to go 10 fold.
160 came out.
They gave us a room.
We had people share their testimonies.
People got saved.
The CEO was there.
The next year, we want to go 10 times.
We want 1,600.
We need a massive room.
COVID hits.
Stopped it.
But God had something else planned
because around that time,
our 26-year-old son hit a pole
at 89 miles an hour with no helmet.
Point Pleasant Pike.
Chris's Street.
Hell of act to Temple.
He flew 150 feet.
My wife and I are on the way to the hospital
an hour away.
And you can imagine the heart-pounding ride that was.
God help my wife.
It was hard for a guy, but for a woman.
Our hearts are pounding out of our chest.
15 minutes later, she touches my legs
and Mike, it's going to be OK.
I'm like, what do you mean it's going to be OK?
She said, God just told me it's going to be OK.
We thought OK would mean if he's gone,
it's still going to be OK.
We had a peace.
We can't describe it.
How does that happen to a woman
who loves her child,
her hearts pound out of her chest?
How does she get total peace?
Later on, when he was hooked up to machines,
three days later, I'm in the living room
reading, don't know what's going on with insurance.
Don't know if he's going to live.
Don't know anything, God.
And I think of Jesus walking on the water in the storm.
I was so stressed I could just picture his face.
It all left me.
I can't describe it to you.
I can't describe it.
All I can tell you is if we didn't go through that,
I would not have had this intimate experience
with Jesus Christ.
When we got to the hospital,
we called ahead and told our daughter, don't go in.
We didn't want you to get the news he's dead.
Our friends beat us there.
We're in a circle on our knees in the waiting room
asking for a miracle.
Doctor comes out 45 minutes later.
I don't know how to explain this.
There's no broken bones, no brain damage.
21 days later, he's home.
He was an arrogant young man before that accident.
When he got home, he's like,
can we sit out on the deck and have coffee?
He got baptized a year or two later.
As an adult, when everybody's telling him,
what are you doing?
Why are you doing this?
He got baptized.
Two beautiful young children.
He's a great example.
He's a great example of a dad.
So, what happened next?
I meet this guy at one of these stream events.
He comes up to me and says,
hey, Mike, I know you're one of these top eight.
I want to know, what'd you get right in life?
I'm like, whoa, what'd I get right in life?
I can't just answer that off the top of my head.
I hope I said something.
I gave my life to Chris.
I don't know.
He says, I want to pick your brain.
Can I come have lunch with you?
I said, yeah.
Three weeks later, because I'm so disorganized
and I'm a mess.
That's just me.
I forget I'm supposed to meet him.
Hey, I'm here.
I'm like, who's this and where?
I'm at the deli down there.
I said, I forgot.
Or just come to my house.
I'm 10 minutes away.
He comes to my house.
This guy's a, I love this guy.
He's a former cop and a medic.
He runs a medic, you know, the trucks.
He gets and sits on my porch.
Now, I'm praying.
I'm praying that God would give me an opportunity.
Because I knew this Jabez prayer thing is real, right?
And he says to me, he sits down.
All right, where are you?
What's this first sentence you said
when you sat down on my porch?
I think I'm here for a different reason.
Holy cow.
I'm like containing my excitement.
I said, can I ask you a personal question?
Or see, I'm ready.
God says be ready in season and out of season.
It's all God, but you got to be ready, right?
Success is where preparation meets opportunity, right?
You're prepped, but God gives you the opportunity.
I said, if you died now and stood before God,
and he said, why should I let you into heaven?
What would you say?
He said, well, you know, try to be the best person I can.
Let me tell you the gospel.
I shared with him, you can't earn it.
You can never be good enough.
Jesus took all your sins.
He receives Christ.
We eventually went through eight great discipleship lessons.
So I knew he was serious, right?
He agreed to that.
But he gets back in his car when we're done,
and he opens the door.
He steps out.
What did you say, Art?
He wants to do it again.
I said, come back up here.
He received Christ again.
The man had his heart moved.
He wanted to make sure he sealed his eternal destiny.
I always joke.
If there was an apocalypse,
I want that guy and a guy I called when I would say Jim Gaffkin.
They have so many guns.
But they're loyal.
You see, they're loyal beyond loyal.
So I'm on a high.
I'm like, I just prayed that God would open up a door.
And this guy comes, and I had the privilege
of leading him to Christ.
Lord, I'm in the JBES mode now, you see.
I said, Lord, give me the opportunity
to share the gospel with 10,000 people.
I'll do anything you want.
But see, the JBES prayer, by definition,
is if you could see it happening by your own efforts.
It's not a JBES prayer.
When you tell someone the JBES prayer,
they got to go like this.
Yeah, right.
That's the definition.
So I said, Lord, forget the 10,000.
I spoke at the annual convention.
There's 5,000 there.
If it hits the internet, who knows?
Let's make it 100,000.
I want to speak to 100,000 before I die.
I'm like, hey, there's still a second doubt.
Who knows the internet?
I said, all right, we're going to settle this forever, God.
I want to speak to a million people.
I want to share the gospel with a million people before I die.
But that's a JBES prayer.
There's no way that's going to happen, right?
It happened three weeks later, sixfold.
Because I got invited to a radio station in Philadelphia
to do a two-minute blurb on being the CEO of a company.
I wasn't the CEO.
I just was blessed by some great producers
who brought in thousands of people, right?
There's the Bank of America CEO next to me.
Another CEO.
My heart starts pounding out of my chest.
There's no way I can go to do this.
But I asked the Lord for strength.
He comes to me.
Tell us about your business.
Well, network marketing, energy, and blah, blah, blah.
I got to tell you, honestly, I'm just blessed by the Lord.
Ever since I gave my life to Jesus
and realized he died on the cross and rose from the dead,
he changed my life.
I said to Herb Cohen, the radio show host,
after how many, what's your listening audience?
He said 6.5 million people.
You cannot out-ask God.
The problem is you just don't ask.
Oh, I want Aunt Mary to be saved.
What's a JB?
I want every one of my relatives to come to Christ.
You see, you can't out-ask him.
It's up to him when you ask him.
Not you.
So a friend from church says to me,
Dave Livingston, his wife, Sandell, great people,
we got this ministry called The Jesus Film.
And we show a lifetime screen on a solar generator
in the language of the people
in the most-revoiced villages of the world.
And they come to Christ.
He says, can you come look at it?
I'll pay for the weekend in Nashville.
I said, yeah.
200 people in a room.
Who do you think I'm sitting next?
The author of The Prayer of JBes.
Who's
God for 100?
They plant 100,000 gardens.
What do we do the next year?
10-fold, a million garden.
People band together.
Word got out.
We planted a million gardens for Christ to feed people.
I said, you got to be kidding me.
And he was inspired to write this book.
So at the end of the time,
beautiful, amazing weekend,
like the stories they told,
God transforming African murders.
They murdered a whole village
and they saw Jesus sitting in a corner.
And the guy becomes an evangelist.
I'm like, he's like,
what are you going to give to the Jesus Film?
I said, well, I have a number in mind.
He said, can you imagine it happening?
I said, yeah.
He said, it ain't a JBes Prayer.
He said, did you know, Mike,
it takes $35,000 to translate this
over three years into Ethiopian language
and show it to the entire country or whatever.
I said, wow.
So we go home, end of the year.
My wife and I are like, what should we give?
Well, we only have this.
We only have that.
I said, I go in the other room.
I said, Lord, if you want us to give,
what you want us to give,
then just make it happen.
Three days later, knock on the door.
There's an envelope on the ground
with two cross pens in it
and a check for $65,000.
The owner of Stream decided
to give us a Christmas gift.
The entire village of Ethiopia
is seeing this film now.
They say every dollar spent
is a person who gets saved.
$35,000 are probably going to be in heaven.
You can't out-ask God.
Make no mistake about it.
The Barra JBes is not about health and wealth.
It's about expanding your territory for God.
Sometimes He may bless you in other ways.
As that happens, I don't know.
I do know.
But it's not about those big things.
Yes, I ask JBes prayers all the time,
but it's about every day going out.
Lord, what do you have for me now?
See this here?
This is the Gospel of John.
This is the pocket testament.
All right.
I had one with me.
I'm a property adjuster.
I look for roofs without shingles.
I see two or three shingles.
I'm like, I'm going to get this lady a new roof,
because I know I can make the insurance company pay.
They can never match it.
It's got to match.
We know this is what we do.
I pray one more.
Lord, show me who you want me to talk to.
I knock on this house, probably 1.2, New Hope,
Cedar Roof, missing shingles.
It's the cherry.
That's what I look for.
I knock on the door.
The woman says, I said, hi, I'm here to help you.
I can get you a new roof.
I can help you.
Blah, blah.
She says, my husband died in a car crash three months ago,
left me with four kids.
I've been praying to someone who would knock on my door
and help me find the money to fix up the house and sell it.
We got a $350,000.
Fixed it up, sold it, moved.
Do you ask God every day to open the door?
He uses imperfect people.
Rich, give us a minute on the pocket testament,
how life's transforming it is.
Can you tell us?
I have no sleep.
It's OK.
We have them for you.
They're at the table.
As many as you want.
Go ahead, Rich.
All right, so
I've been doing this for 35 years.
It's really simple.
Anybody can do it.
You put a gospel of John in your pocket every day.
You put it where your keys are, where your phone is.
You put a gospel of John in your pocket every day.
And as you're walking out the door, you say,
Lord, give me an opportunity to share this with someone.
And if you give me a poke, I'll share it.
So every day, I do this.
And without a doubt, every day, I get the poke.
And I get an opportunity to share Christ.
So I'm the one of about 20 people that are on the board.
And that board has their focus now on not a million,
not 100 million, but a billion gospels
distributed around the world.
And the way it's done now, and it's happening,
like I have to double up your mind.
But I have my phone if you want to copy my app.
And this app is winding up in Pakistan, Iran,
all the Middle East and parts of the world.
And hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people
are reading now the gospel of John because of this app.
So this is not a startup ministry.
This has been around for over 100 years.
This last 20 years, this gospel had been going
around the world like crazy.
And so all I am is I'm a seed sower.
That's all I think of myself as.
I'm not some big deal from the seed sower.
And so like Mike was talking about, the mustard seed,
it explodes.
So if you don't know what to do for a ministry point of view,
this is the trick.
QR code.
We have a QR code.
Are we able to put it on the board?
So if you want to say, like, I don't know what to do,
this is the ministry.
The point you got to do is say, hey, here, this is for you.
And it happened.
I mean, we see people coming to Christ all around the world.
Thank you, Rich.
You can take a picture of this QR code
and have the digital version on your phone.
When you talk to someone, it's on the back of the thing, too.
Hey, I want to send you something, John.
Thank you, Rich.
I appreciate it.
Guys, so faithful with this.
By the way, today's theme, God uses imperfect people.
Rich gave me permission to say he had a struggle
with alcoholism years ago.
God pulled him out of it.
Took his life, and he's on fire for Jesus Christ now.
Everybody in here has had a messed up life.
God will put it together, and he'll use you.
He'll use you.
So yeah, you can do the QR code there.
Just an idea.
You guys have a real burning desire for evangelism.
I just came to me the other day.
Imagine if you had a sign.
You put those little metal prongs in,
those little cheap signs in the ground at an intersection.
It says, free prayer for 30 days.
Are you hurting?
Are you struggling?
Just text, pray for me, to this number.
Imagine that.
You get it on your phone.
Pray for me.
You send them a digital version of this,
and you say, I'll pray for you for 30 days.
At the end of 30 days, you call them and say,
I've been praying for you.
How's everything?
Do you think they're going to get mad?
I don't think so.
Is God going to change them?
Yeah.
The word of God never returns void.
Hopefully, you could take that and run with it.
Maybe I'll work with you.
So I try to think of different ways to evangelize.
I had this license plate.
JZSLVSU, Jesus loves you, right?
I get some honks now and then.
Granted, I had bought a 2023 Chevy Corvette white.
I know it sounds materialistic.
I'll just be an open book with you here.
But you know what?
The average car I heard the other day was 50,000.
I heard that on the news three days ago.
This was 69,000.
Don't judge me.
It wasn't that.
I don't know how they make a car for that.
I don't know how.
This is amazing.
It's amazing.
400 horsepower.
Now, I probably went overboard
because I got the gold wings of stab up there, right?
I had them installed.
Probably didn't need to do that.
But I'd have young guys come up in an intersection.
Like, man, look at that.
Can I say, yeah.
Please read this.
I come to valet at a restaurant.
Man, I like this car.
Please read this book.
It changed my life.
Gotta give him a $5 bill.
And you always have to give a $25 tip
if you give the gospel of the waitress.
Don't simply be a cheap one there, right?
Now, I had no conviction when I bought that car at all.
Three years later, God convicted me and said,
you know, you need to sell the car now.
So I'm working with Car Nation.
This guy, Joe, Italian old guy from Brooklyn.
Long story short, he gets me a nice price.
I'm making money off it.
Only had it three years, 21,000 miles.
He said, Mike, last minute, it's 3,000 less.
Sorry.
The company's going out of business.
But more importantly, I got a blood sugar level 300.
They said I could drop that any minute.
At that point, I could be angry about what he committed.
Three extra thousand.
Or I could say, God's got something here.
I said, Joe, can I pray for you?
He said, yeah.
He said, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ
by the power of his shed blood, please heal this man.
You love him.
You sent your son to die on a cross.
Went on and on.
He said, nobody ever prayed like that for me.
Three weeks later, he texted me.
My blood sugar level just fell in half.
He said, I've been dieting.
I've been doing all that.
I said, Joe, it has nothing to do with your diet, bro.
I said, Jesus Christ is healing you.
He said, I can feel his Holy Spirit.
Maybe that's why I had to sell the car.
I don't know.
But I'm an open book today.
This week, God's going to send someone for you to give the gospel to.
They're going to call you up and say, this is John.
We're selling gold coins from New York.
I got a stock tip.
Know what you say now?
Hey, listen.
I'm really busy.
I only have two minutes.
I'll make a deal with you.
I'll give you a minute if you'll give me a minute.
Fair enough.
Okay.
Gives you a spiel.
Listen, man.
I don't think you called me by accident.
I think God had because he wants me to tell you he loves you.
He knows what you're going through.
He sent his son to die for you.
And if you give him your life, he will change your life.
Forgive your sins.
He paid for all your sins.
So you don't have to pay for them yourself in hell.
Don't hang up on the guy now.
You'll probably get five calls this week.
I got a wrong text six weeks ago.
I'm coming out of the gym.
Oh, by the way, I'm in Planet Fitness one time.
Doylestown.
The most vile music you want to hear it is rap music.
I'm like, I'm not a prude, but come on.
This is bad.
I go to the guy at the counter and I say, can you change the music?
Oh, it's on a feed from my computer.
I can't change it.
I said, Lord, change the music.
Change the music, Lord.
See, I'm starting to ask now because I know the power of God is not me.
I do nothing.
I'm worthless.
I go in the next day.
Now, maybe you're thinking, oh, a nice station.
Someone's preaching the gospel over the intercom in the gym.
People are looking around like, holy cow.
I should have asked for the gospel.
I under-asked.
Oh.
So I get a text six weeks ago.
I'm coming over at 12 o'clock to fix your generator.
I said, I don't know you.
Who are you?
Oh, it's a mistake.
I'm sorry.
I got there.
I said, maybe it's not a mistake.
What do you mean?
I said, I think God had you text me by mistake so we would talk.
I said, Jesus Christ loves you.
He sent his son to die for you.
He wants you to know him.
Total silence.
I can't believe you just said that.
He says, I said, why?
He says, I've been going through a lot.
I said, hang up and listen to my phone message.
I'm not going to answer the phone.
The phone message story is about three years ago.
You know how you have highs and lows with the Lord?
I was just driving around.
I'm like, God's doing something with the spirit.
I pull in a parking lot and I create this phone message.
Hi, thanks.
It's Mike.
Leave your name and number.
But listen, maybe you got this phone message for a different reason.
And I go for like three or four minutes.
Telling him, there's no mistakes, no accidents.
God's been calling you.
He's been reaching you.
And you've been ignoring him.
He loves you, right?
I'm afraid.
I haven't listened to it for years.
I'm like afraid.
I don't know why.
Because I was so in the spirit that day.
I was so bold.
God gave me bold.
I don't know.
So my lawyer calls me one day.
What are you doing?
That's outrageous.
You can't do that.
You're a businessman.
I said, Rich, Jesus died for me.
He's paid for all my sins.
I'm going to proclaim the world.
But ain't nobody else said that like him.
Instead, the lady from Citizens Bank,
I had a question one time.
I just listened to your message.
I called my mother.
I hadn't talked to her for 10 years.
Thank other people.
I just listened to your message.
Wow.
Thank you.
The guy who texted me my mistake
were trying for six weeks to get together.
He texts me the other day,
are you free today?
I said, yes.
I'm out back in my garden.
Come on back.
He sits there 26-year-old
heating and air conditioning.
I said, why are you here?
I don't know.
Just God's been doing things in my life.
I said, if you had died today,
and he said, Christian,
why should I let you in heaven?
What would you say?
He said, blank stare.
Blank stare.
He gave his life to Jesus Christ four days ago.
All you got to do is be out there
with a gospel of John or be ready.
It ain't you.
If you're a ridiculous failure,
if you've been doing things you shouldn't do,
confess them.
You're wiped clean.
The devil says,
oh, you're messed up.
You can't be used by...
It's a lie.
And when you start stepping out for Christ
and he uses you, you're like, whoa.
God did forgive me.
He's using me every day
despite my wretchedness.
I had a guy that I've been waiting for forever
to call me on his legal matter.
My mom's 92.
She just talks and talks and talks
and the phone's ringing.
Here it is, Michael Rosenstein.
Mom, I got to go.
I got to go.
Please, I got to tell you.
Mom, I got to go.
I hang up.
Boom, I missed a call.
I'm like, darn.
I think I let out an expletive.
I'm an open book here today.
I confessed it.
I'm messed up like you guys, right?
Confessed it and washed clean.
Then I stop and think, wait a minute.
This guy just heard the gospel
because he went to voicemail.
All right.
God knows what he's doing.
I stole this from someone.
You're in Wawa.
I was at Steve Prince's States, right?
The guy rings me up.
I pulled the Bible out.
Can I go to the credit card scanner?
He doesn't know.
I cut the back out and put a credit card in it facing us.
I said, Jesus paid it all.
There's a 34-year-old guy in Acne.
Little out of it,
buying this big bazooka gum pack,
which maybe isn't normal for a 30-year-old guy.
And some other things.
He's a little out of it.
He says, I don't have enough for the gum.
What's the bazooka side?
I said, excuse me.
I think God's telling me to pay for your bazooka gum.
So Jesus paid it all.
Please read this gospel.
It changed my life.
You want to go out on Thanksgiving
and see a mother before hurting,
trying to buy Thanksgiving dinner?
It ain't hard.
Get an older Bible.
Cut the back out, put the card.
Jesus paid it all.
The guy at the cheesesteak, he almost fell over.
Whoa.
Just different ways, you know?
So I like shirts.
I like shirts.
I got one that says, a lot can happen in three days with a cross.
Right?
Jesus being buried, rising in three days.
I got a crown.
One size fits all.
I think $19 off of Amazon.
Stay with Amazon.
You don't get ripped off.
Tap me on the shoulder if you need prayer.
So I go to this plant of fitness.
I work out.
I want people to see, you know?
God's going to do it, not me.
God will have someone read the shirt.
I'm in jury duty the other day.
Doyle's Town.
You don't want to be in jury duty.
It's five days of the trial.
I'm busy.
Well, those people don't have this.
Some other time.
But I've got stuff.
I don't want to do it.
So they say, any objections from the 40 people here say,
I don't like doctors.
I'm just being honest with you.
I don't have good experience with doctors being sued
from people who lost the baby during delivery.
They're like 10 feet from each other.
Very intense.
Very slack.
So later they call me in the back room.
You've got to tell us what's going on.
I'll try to be impartial.
But I went to the doctor.
I had this paralyzing pain in my jaw so much.
I'm staring at the wall 10 minutes.
I can't move.
The doctor doesn't know what's going on.
My wife at 3 a.m.
says, oh, you've got chronic neurosis in your nerve.
You've got a tendon.
Call.
Yeah, yeah, you've got it.
Get it, get it, get it.
We just made the last rounds.
My wife found out.
She goes, she breaks her finger, goes to the doctor.
He said, oh, here's what I'm going to do.
I might do this.
I might do this.
She said, what if you did it this way and you did this?
And he said, oh, that might work.
But it might work.
She needed she had a nerve issue in her.
Feeling like a twin, something in the back of her neck.
We wait four months to go to a neurologist.
And the guy's here with his assistant.
He walks out.
Timmy's going to ask you some questions.
15 minutes.
He comes back in.
Oh, Timmy just told me what's told you.
See, you didn't see my wife's non-heracles.
You didn't see her tense up on certain questions.
I don't know, Timmy.
Timmy seems like a nice guy.
He got 23.
I said, Timmy, I'm thinking Timmy could be cutting
wounds after work to make ends meet.
I don't know, Timmy.
I waited four months for you.
So I'm telling these stories and others.
They said, can you be impartial?
I said, I'm going to try, but I can't guarantee it.
Then the judge, he's about six foot six, maybe six foot eight, I don't know.
Massive man, 800 pounds.
Big robe.
Two attorneys, two assistants, he's six people in a room.
And he does something no human being on earth would have predicted.
This is what he does.
He holds his phone up.
Everybody's looking at him.
He respects him.
He looks like this guy.
For there's no other need given to men under heaven by which we must be saved.
He looked up my doors.
He ran into the room.
I was stunned, but I was ready.
His God blessed them.
They're all looking at me.
To me, I made my way to Jesus Christ and being a new heart.
To dive across the function of all my sins.
I don't have to put a place called hell in Jesus' choice.
She's definitely going to choose.
And he gets slapped up.
Guys, just wear a shirt.
Wear anything.
It's planting the seed.
You see?
Now, to be honest, I thought they'd view me as a conservative Christian nut guy
and be biased and not choosing.
They were trying to work through that.
They didn't care.
They didn't care.
But I'm glad I got out of that.
So another shirt I had.
My daughter says, do not wear that shirt to the gym.
Three days later, I'm not doing a shirt.
It's it.
I'm not getting an apocalypse, guys.
Trump is my president.
Jesus is my savior.
I'm walking.
Raise your hand, Sean.
I'm walking towards that guy.
This is about a year ago.
I'm walking towards him.
He looks at me and says, I might need him soon.
I read 37.
It's going on a lot of times.
But I have a quick look at it, right?
Let's see if I have 37s, you see?
I see a verse in the Bible.
10 Corinthians 120 says, for he who had no sin became sin for us
so that we might become the righteousness of God.
When Jesus hung on the cross, he became your sin in mind
and took all the punishment of God.
I would have punished him.
And he gave us his righteousness and perfection.
It's the greatest decision you've ever had.
I'll talk to you later.
Walk away.
Because I'm so imperfect and forgetful.
For five weeks, I forget to bring him.
And ask him what he did.
Finally, I bumped in and he says,
bought my first Bible.
Not like that.
Bought my first Bible.
I said, wow.
I'm ready.
You could read that for years.
Or we could have breakfast and I could explain God's message
to you in 15 minutes.
But he said, oh, yeah.
Can you put the Romans road up, please?
And meet him at McDonald's.
See, somebody had already explained.
Because I said to him, for all he key, key, key.
When you share the word of God, they must read, burst themselves.
Because the word is living.
Jesus Christ, the name was the word and the words with God.
The word became flesh.
He's reading, fraud, sin, the false word of the glory of God.
I said, do you think you're a sinner?
As for the wage of sin is death,
that the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus.
We're going to get paid for our sins, Sean.
The wages of sin is death.
You work, you get it.
You sin, you're going to get paid for it.
But you're not going to get paid in one lump sum.
It's like God writes a check out to you.
Amount death payable with Sean signed God.
But he gives it to you in three installments, I said.
We're born separated from God into the world
because of our sin.
Isaiah 55.7, right?
Share it.
You're going to die physically.
Therefore, just as man destined to die once
and face judgment, you're going to die physically.
You don't believe that or yes.
I said to you, die physically.
When you're spiritually separated from God,
then you get the third part of the check.
I said, do you want to see the future, Sean?
Yeah, the day of judgment.
Revelation 20.
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven,
having the key to...
Oh, sorry, wrong one.
Release 20.
Then I saw the great white...
This is the judgment of all.
The end of the world, guys.
Then I saw a great white throne in him,
God, who was seated on it.
Earth and sky fled from his presence
and there was no place for them.
And I saw the dead, great and small,
standing before the throne.
Everybody that died in history, right?
And the books were opened.
The books were opened.
Another book was opened.
The book of life.
The Lamb's book of life,
containing the names of all believers,
which is the book of life.
The dead were judged according to what they had done
as recorded in the books.
The sea gave up the dead that were in it
and death in Hades gave up the dead that were in them.
And each person was judged according to what they had done.
Then death in Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
The lake of fire is the second death.
If anyone's name was not found written
in the book of life,
he was thrown into the lake of fire.
I said, Sean, if you die physically,
can your spirits decide,
he's going to look you up and say,
McKinney, McKinney.
Oh, Sean, here's your life.
Everything you've ever said,
everything you've ever done.
The things you did,
the things you gave me saw.
Every thought, every action.
It ain't, it's far from perfect.
If anyone's name was not found
in an Lamb's book of life,
he's thrown into the lake of fire.
It's a real place.
I said to him,
but God said he demonstrated his own love for us.
God demonstrated his own love
by having Christ die for us while we're still sinners.
Do you believe that?
Yes.
Salvation comes through declaring Jesus the Lord.
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord,
do you want to receive Jesus Christ now?
He said, yes.
Sean, you got a minute?
Can you come up here?
I said, Sean,
this is the Lamb's book of life.
This is your life.
Everything you've ever said,
done and thought,
all I see is red.
All I see is the blood of my son.
Makes you perfect.
Tell me what happened in the Lamb's church.
Here's the mic.
Last year,
like I said, I ran away from the gym.
I was missing something in my life.
I didn't know.
Things happened in my life.
I lost everything.
I was home one time,
got back on my feet,
and I got back on my feet.
I'm like, you know what I mean?
And I used to sit on my feet.
I'm such a great guy that I love.
I mean, that's how I got back on my feet.
Man, I have to meet Mike,
and they're becoming more organic.
I realize they had nothing to do with me.
And now,
part of my routine every morning,
by Mike,
I feel the Holy Spirit with me all the time.
Because sometimes I might go this way.
I get my coach.
He goes to the back.
It's my feeling.
Yeah, and he changed my life.
April 22nd,
took the plunge and got myself baptized.
So right on.
But it's the last of the lessons
in the eight-week discipleship
with your baptized.
So I always am a little lacking in faith,
and I'm like, you know,
God wants you to be baptized, Johnny.
He's like, okay.
Like, the Holy Spirit says He does it.
And I'm like, well, you shouldn't.
Maybe a little heavy.
Don't be hesitant,
because you're the New Jersey trooper
in your former life
who got the body out of the pond.
You're the guy who kicks the door open
and keep the guy in the head.
The Holy Spirit guided me.
When we get together,
I see notes and highlights and questions.
Like, I've discipled a lot of guys.
Oh, I didn't get the lessons, huh?
This guy loves Jesus.
He listens to the Holy Spirit
because he reads the word of God
every single day.
Which book are you gonna be in?
You're here today,
and you don't know Jesus?
Your whole life's right here.
Everything nobody saw you doing,
every thought, every action,
and the lake of fire
is a serious place.
Do you want your name
written in the Lamb's Book of Life?
Right now, today,
your name can be written in that book
if you give your life to Christ.
If you're on the fence,
there was a young guy
I'll tell you the story.
The guy says,
he's going to church.
He's hanging with believers.
He's not doing crazy stuff.
He's looking.
His friends from college,
hey, we got to get back in our old way.
Come to this party.
Come to it.
We're doing some good stuff, man.
Come on.
They're at the drinking party.
Immoral sex.
No, no, no.
I'm looking into this.
He's on the fence.
He's on the fence.
So the story goes.
Pitch black suddenly.
He can't see his hand
in front of his face.
Somebody's right there.
Let's go.
I know I didn't commit to Jesus,
but I definitely didn't choose you.
I'm on the fence.
I own the fence.
Let's go.
Do you want your name
written in the Lamb's Book of Life?
You could do it right now.
A hundred and seventy thousand
people are going to die today.
They're going to leave the earth
and go into eternity.
It's seven thousand.
It's eight thousand per minute.
A hundred and or eight thousand an hour.
A hundred and eighteen per minute.
Two every second.
Since you bit into your egg sandwich,
ten thousand people went into eternity.
And they're going to be judged
according to what they had done
as recorded in the books.
It's over.
It's done.
There is no turning back.
Here's the scary part.
Out of those hundred and seventy thousand,
guess who we all have in common with them?
Most of them, virtually all,
had no idea today was their day.
No clue.
They were at soccer games,
having dinners, outings,
men's breakfasts.
Do you want your name
in the Lamb's Book of Life?
Oh!
I never thought about that so much.
Let me read to you about a man
called Lazarus.
Luke 16, 19 to 31.
There was a rich man
who was dressed in purple
and fine linen,
lived in luxury every day
at his gate laid a beggar named Lazarus,
covered with sores
and longing to eat what fell
at the rich man's table.
Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
The time came when the beggar died
and the angels carried him
to Abraham's side.
The rich man also died and was buried.
In Hades,
in Hades where he was in torment,
he looked up and saw Abraham
far away with Lazarus by his side.
So he called him,
Father Abraham,
have pity on me
and send Lazarus
to dip the tip of his finger
in water and cool my tongue.
Because I am in agony in this fire.
But Abraham replied,
Son, remember that in your lifetime
you receive good things
while Lazarus received bad things,
but now he is comforted here
and you are in agony.
And besides all this,
between us and you,
a great chasm has been set in place
so that those who want to go
from here to you cannot,
nor can anyone cross over
from there to us.
It's permanent.
He answered,
Then I beg you,
Father send Lazarus to my family,
for I have five brothers.
Let him warn them
so that they will not also come
to this place of torment.
Imagine being in hell
and the only thing you think about
is you don't want your mom,
dad or son or daughter
to be there with you.
Abraham replied,
Have Moses and the prophets,
let them,
they have Moses and the prophets,
let them listen to them.
No, Father Abraham,
he said,
but if someone rises from the dead
and goes to them,
they will repent.
He said to them,
if they do not listen
to Moses and the prophets,
they will not even be convinced
if someone rises from the dead.
You're not dead.
You can tell your friends,
family,
mother, father, son, daughter.
You can tell yourself,
it starts with you.
If your name is not written
in the Land Book of Life,
this tells you what's ahead.
You don't want to choose it.
God doesn't send you.
You choose it.
You ever hear people say,
Oh, you can,
you want to receive Jesus.
You never know what can happen.
You could die on the way home.
Rebecca Patrick,
34 year old four year old
Holly Hill woman
was killed in a crash
in Ormond Beach
on her way home from church
Sunday, April 26, 2026.
He was a fixture,
long time Potter's house leader.
Samuel Cohen died
on the way home from church.
Richard Miller died
in a freak accident,
April 27,
when a falling tree
and power line struck the car.
He was riding in on his way home
from church.
Guys, you are playing Russian roulette
if you're here today
and you don't know Jesus.
He loves you so much.
All he wants to do is say,
I'm giving you a gift
for free forgiveness.
Believe in me.
Repent.
Repent then and turn the God
so that your sins
may be wiped out.
They're all gone.
He paid for them all.
He who had no sin
became sin for us, right?
Who wants their name
in the Lamb's Book of Life?
If you're here today
and you know Jesus,
I want you to go online
for 10 bucks
and buy the prayer of Jabez.
I want you to get on your knees
every day for 30 days
and ask God and pray that prayer.
It's not the prayer.
It's the God behind the prayer.
Ask him to put a burning heart
in your desire in your heart
to have tears for the lost.
A hunger for your word
and tears for the lost.
Watch what he does,
especially if you took
the pocket testament
and go out with it.
Sean said,
I said Sean's first assignment
figures he's in the bathroom.
I said, now,
here's your test.
Here's the word of God,
the gospel of John.
I want you to tell somebody
about your big party.
He has a big annual party
every day at his Cape A house, right?
Oh, okay.
What am I going to say?
You don't have to worry
about anything.
Just ask God to give you that too.
His old coach comes up to him.
I've been reading the Bible recently.
Oh.
Starting the Book of John,
it's easier.
Thank you, guys.
I prayed for everybody here
before I came here today
on my knees
to give your life to Jesus.
You don't want to leave this room
if you don't know Jesus
because the great white throne
is there.
See, you only understand
how great the grace of God is
when you know what
he's saving you from.
It's an eternity
in a fiery place called hell.
And life is so uncertain.
Chris Bonner and I
played a basketball game
20 years ago with two friends,
Rob Hanson and Greg Savage.
Rob's at home with the belief
as a believer.
He's at home with Jesus.
He died a year and a half ago.
Greg has all sorts of ailments
in his body.
Chris has a defibrillator.
He's halfway to heaven right now.
I got a knee problem.
Nothing wrong with me,
but I could die like that.
170,000 people will die today.
I'm going to pray a prayer.
And after I pray this prayer,
if you want your name written
in that book, figuratively speaking,
the Lamb's Book of Life
containing the names of all believers,
if you want to have your name
in few days, nothing but
the blood of Jesus Christ.
Come, come in.
You are perfect
because you believed in my son.
If you want your name here
during this prayer,
then raise your hand.
Close your eyes.
Heavenly Father,
Lord, we are moved.
We are moved by your Holy Spirit.
You sent your son
because you love us so much
to die on the cross
and you paid it all.
Lord, you don't send us to hell.
We choose to go there
by rejecting your son.
Lord, for those here I prayed,
they would be willing to repent,
that they would not view you
as a counselor,
a marriage fixer, a healer,
but they would be convicted
about their sin
and that they would repent.
And then I know what you're going to do,
Lord, you're going to give them a new heart,
you're going to transform their life.
Father, if there be anybody here today
who doesn't know you,
who wants their name right now
written in the Lamb's Book of Life,
I pray that they would raise their hand.
If that's you, put your hand up.
If that's you.
Okay.
Father, I thank you for these men.
I pray that you would put
a burning desire in their hearts,
a hunger for your word
and tears for the lost.
That they would go out now realizing
that as imperfect as they are,
that qualifies them.
They were all messed up.
That's Jesus came to save sinners
of whom I am chief,
says Apostle Paul.
Please move us, Father.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Chris said...
Chris said sometimes you have
question and answers.
If you have any questions
or have any fears
on how do you do this or that,
I probably tried it and failed at it.
You see, I found in life,
this is a circle.
You're inside the circle.
That's called your comfort zone.
Life begins outside of the circle.
You walk out when you're afraid
and you talk about Jesus
and he blesses.
You see, life begins
where your comfort zone ends.
So, go.
Yes, sir.
Do that today.
You're excited.
I love excitement.
Yeah, I mean,
I wouldn't take a big Bible
like your grandfather's table.
Yeah, like a little one
that doesn't like you're standing there
waiting to do it, you know?
Or you have a backpack
and you have it in there
like you're not intending to do it,
you know?
But a little one is cool.
Any other questions, guys?
Yes, sir.
Yeah, but what I do is,
I do tracks.
So, everywhere I go, I do tracks.
I'm going to go to the young young
once in a week.
You make the probation plays
on post-docs.
I do tracks.
If you leave,
it takes three seconds to do this.
Three seconds.
If you average three tracks
a day average,
that's a thousand seventy-five.
And mustard seems to be playing.
That's less than six minutes
in a year.
So, I got saved off the track.
How old are you, though?
1975.
My girlfriend was in the park
while I was in the place.
So, if you want to get his ice cream,
he's going to smash.
So, I set myself up
to get a little veto to smash.
So, anyway, I said,
where are you, Scott?
You know, I'm not going to
wait on this to catch.
So, I was standing there.
There was the menu.
You know what I'm saying?
This is a car.
I felt something on the
car a little bit.
They didn't, you know,
they passed the case.
So, I put my hand in the menu.
And I tried.
Well, no.
It was an albany green track.
What?
Nobody.
I got truckers.
Every son of a kid.
Nobody was asleep.
Nobody owned the truck.
Yeah, I got saved off of that track.
All right.
Went home to the apartment.
Did it smash?
I was on the street in that track.
Now, that was 1975.
Thousands of tracks later,
two bible schools,
legal bible schools,
and I leave tracks in the
neighborhood of the airport.
About a year ticket to, like,
They're going to adopt here.
They're going to hunt for the tracks.
126 gates.
So, I'll be on the inside.
Going to the dress shirts.
Be on the train.
I get on the airport at day-to-day at eight.
And I finish the whole area
with bus seats.
Also, I do that damn track.
When I have assignments.
So, I'm going to design an Acme, right?
I want you to kind of get my car fixed.
And what I'm going to do is I'll take
three tracks.
Get me a car.
Stuff in it.
Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.
Acmes.
Blows.
Everywhere.
It seems like I've made every one of games for them.
80% of the people are saw spoken.
20% of the people aren't.
Listen to the videos they always see.
They track.
Well, they leave a track.
Saw the track on me.
And in February, I put up a Go board and an Allens half.
160,000 views a month.
How do you know that?
Because that's what they're telling you.
And when you really want to get to the Go board,
because it goes by two, how many floors?
Oh yeah, yeah.
What's the billboard say?
So, 5500 floors a day.
What does it say?
It says, gone to 60.
That's all said.
And now I'm a million views.
Because this month, I'm going to be building views.
More than many denominations.
Oh my gosh.
Mustard seats.
A million mustard seats.
I love it.
So, what I'm saying is that I caught the gospel tracks here.
You know, if your father told you,
when I cut that grass,
when I cut that grass,
you say, well, dad, I got prayer.
He told us, go you there.
And as you say, I'm going to book all wordy things.
The word will not be turned full.
I have a buddy that says, CEO.
Everybody says, CEO, chief of the law.
I said, I'm a chief, you may not know.
That's what she, he's actual.
The gospel of the Lord.
He's my forgotten son.
He was the one that she's my very own best friend.
He, you estimate, have no meaning to share the gospel.
So, I'm saying to you,
he said, there's so many things you can do.
If you look at that box that says, well,
he said, love the river.
Love your name.
Everyone who's all contacted me is again your name.
What if you loved it?
Won't you share the gospel with them?
I love your song.
So, everyone, it was a game.
Everyone's a game.
So, when I listen to Grant, right?
Grant is a game.
Tell me when you sit there wondering,
I love when you stand, but just,
something's not right.
All you gotta do is get someone to put it there.
So, I gotta do it.
Lord, I'm a righteous sinner,
but I found out you can use me.
Please give me a heart of a game.
That's God's signal.
And just do it.
I'm average dude.
Average, average dude.
Just walkin' around.
Wait, wait, there's someone up in the middle.
I've seen someone keep me in jail today.
So, he could've saved me in jail.
That's why I still wanted to put it there.
What's up with his position in a compliment?
See, when you say I'm an average dude,
God loves average dudes.
Exactly.
God took the foolishest things in the world,
the most important areas he wants.
So, if that's you, I qualify.
And what my daughter told me the other day,
I was too much.
It's not that late.
I hear two months ago,
I gave a speech at the Bucks County Board of Commissioners.
They counted illegal votes, blah, blah, blah.
I handled them for three minutes.
At a podium in a town hall.
God wants 10 million views from on social media.
He said that.
Now, think about you and my man Christ.
So, I went back for a month.
Everybody did three minutes.
Three minutes.
I need regards for three minutes.
They have to listen.
I apologize for my previous term.
Did you look at it?
I was fine.
I was fine.
I apologize for my turn and say,
I understand something about forgiving someone
from getting you guys my apologies for him.
You can speak in any school.
The whole thing.
I have boldness for listening.
This guy went on 10 times boldness.
Yes.
You can speak in a town hall school.
Super meeting.
They can't stop you.
You get a spam call.
A spam call.
Spam call.
And he said he would try to say something.
And he said, I always say,
if you see it first and then you'll say,
when you're getting any more,
he said, you know what?
I'm very satisfied.
I don't know what we are.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for a good time.
You're good.
I don't know the road.
I said, sure.
I said, well,
I don't know if that's how you wrote it off.
What?
Guys, I love the road again.
It's one of the guys that's done.
I said, well, you don't mention not the verse.
But I've been asking like a guy saying,
not as soon as the world's been in the middle of the world.
The girlfriend like you can say,
you've got the people inside my head.
Did you ask them already?
I don't believe in the name of the gospel of God.
There are fewer words that I've fixed these leads
in a very heavy way.
There's some of them I haven't given you in sales.
There's four or five of these.
They won't give you through the second.
They'll make you completely silent.
I had to talk to people, an idiot.
And they said, what was that?
I said, yes.
I just want a strong little phone phone in the dark.
Let me see.
So these stand poles, there's some on box.
These stand poles, that's how you do it.
Guys, you came here today
because God brought you here
and gave you a heart to evangelism.
All you got to do now is,
30 days every day, get on your knees,
say, I'm serious.
I firmly believe God looks down
and notices some people on their knees
and some people are not, okay?
It's a difference.
I pray sometimes everywhere.
I pray on the toilet.
I feel like sometimes I'm disrespecting God, right?
But if I'm on my knees,
I think there's a difference.
When you do that for 30 days,
I'm going to give you a heart for a little tears
for a little lost and a hunger survivor.
If you, by me, by numbers in that book,
in the back of the book,
the ones that look like this.
And if you didn't get one, come up again
when my number's in the back.
You can say, Mike, you can text me.
Anything you want, any question, I'm here.
And if you need the link
to read through the Bible in a year,
it changed my life.
Changed my life.
Sometimes you're convicted about it.
I spend too much time with Jim,
too much time with his friends.
Too much silence.
I'm not convicted anymore
because every single morning I do,
every single day.
So God, spirit gave me a clear conscience now
because I prioritize it.
Should I be in it?
Were you?
You know?
Scary when you sit at home.
You get home at six,
you might watch three hours, four hours of TV, right?
And if you think about it,
oh my gosh, this is not good.
You know?
But if you say,
I spent my time in a word,
I'm going to read through the word of God in a year.
Now, on my seventh year,
I hope I have 23 years on with the Bible set.
It's amazing what we remember when you just read it.
So the more you read it, the more you're blessed.
I'm reading about the Old Testament kings,
sacrifices and their kids.
And then God is saying,
return to me and I'll tell you,
I'm kidding.
You're kidding.
Every time you come back,
he accepts you and you're new and you're ready.
Guys, I want to keep you all day.
We're done.
Thanks for coming.
